We wish to appoint a talented and inspiring teaching assistant to provide one to one support to an individual child with social, emotional and behavioural needs during the school day and over lunch. Are you the person we are looking for.

The successful candidate will be passionate about children's learning and committed to working with and learning alongside other professionals. They will have experience of dealing with pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs, be proactive in handling challenging behaviour and skilled in diffusing potentially difficult situations. They will be enthusiastic with the ability remain calm under pressure.

We seek candidates who are creative and can capture the imagination and interest of young learners, supporting children in developing their skills and knowledge and possess a basic understanding of how children learn and develop at different educational stages.

The successful candidate would:

· Have experience of dealing with pupils with behavioural, social and emotional needs
· Be able to contribute to a range of teaching, learning and pastoral activities
· Have experience of dealing with students on a 1:1 basis
· Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for learning
· Have high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
· Be flexible and open to new ideas
· Be a team player working in collaboration with the class teacher
· Possess the necessary skills to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils’ progress
· Fully support the ethos and aims of the school
· Be of a nurturing nature
