Salary: Grade 4, £14,126 – £15,962 per annum. £8.72 - £9.85 per hour

 

37 hours per week, term time plus 1 week working 39 weeks per year

Westleigh St Paul’s CE Primary School is a successful, forward-thinking and happy school with a strong Christian ethos. The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and well-organised Pastoral Support Officer, who will complement our hard working team.

 

As Pastoral Support Officer at the school, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing pastoral care for students in the school and provide routine administrative support.
  • Complying with safeguarding policies and supporting procedures.
  • Liaising with a range of people including parents/carers and specialist agencies.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of education / behaviour / support / mentoring plans.
  • Delivering pre-determined IEP’s to students reporting those in need of particular support.
  • Delivering intervention strategies and intervention packages for vulnerable students, particularly those with behaviour issues. 
  • Supervising pupils who are not working to a normal timetable and support pupils in class.
  • Dealing with behaviour issues and conflict management.
  • Monitoring and evaluate student’s responses and progress against action plans through observation and planned recording and to provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required, including Personal Support Plans.
  • To update record systems and follow processes in line with child protection regulations and school policies.
