The Headteacher and Governors at Bedford High School seek to appoint an effective and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to monitor, support and improve the overall progress and development of our students.

The successful applicant will need to have NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification or comparable level of experience. You will have the ability to remain calm and positive in sometimes challenging circumstances and be able to relate well to children and adults. The successful candidate will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for our students and to assist in the management of students throughout the school. You will be working across all areas of school. We are looking for a colleague who is enthusiastic, caring, self-motivated, hardworking, organised and able to positively contribute to the ethos of our school. You will have high standards and expectations in all areas of school life and will be committed to a teamwork approach.

Bedford High School is a highly successful and popular school that continues to improve. We gained Ofsted ‘Good’ in our last inspection, and the school maintains very strong examination performance at KS4.
