Your role:

HR and OD Services are looking to appoint two HR Support Assistants to each work within one of two workstreams.

HR Operations

The first post is temporary for 12 months within HR Operations. You will provide a full range of administrative support across all our HR Operation Teams.

As part of our telephony advice hub, you will be the first point of contact for all our customers, including schools and you will advise on HR queries, redirecting to colleagues as appropriate.

You will be responsible for the timely production and maintenance of key management information and the maintenance of relevant ICT systems. In addition, you will support with HR meetings such as absence management, grievance and disciplinary (where appropriate).

HR Employment Service Centre

The second post is temporary for 12 months to support the Council’s commitment to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Your role will involve the cleansing of all HR records held within our electronic document management system, Civica, and ensuring the service is GDPR compliant.

About you:

You will have excellent customer service skills with the ability to be calm and professional when dealing with customers at all levels.

HR and OD Services is a large and fast-paced service and therefore experience of working within a busy office environment is essential along with the ability to prioritise your own workload, manage conflicting demands and work to tight deadlines.

You will have a good level of IT skills particularly Word and Excel and you will be passionate about improving services and working practices through the use of technology.

Experience of working with personal, sensitive and confidential information and an understanding of the requirements of the Data Protection Act and GDPR is essential.
