Salary: Grade 4, £21,575 - £22,777 per annum. £11.18 - £11.80 per hour

 

37 hours per week, working the full year year

 

Split shift: 6am – 9:30am and 2:00pm – 6:00pm and 5:30pm on Fridays

 

Holiday Entitlement – 25 days per year & Bank Holidays

 

Required for July 2023

 

The Wings’ CE Trust are seeking to appoint a caretaker, who will undertake the day-to-day maintenance, repairs and operations for Leigh CE Primary School.  The role will require the successful candidate to work their hours over a split shift.

 

Duties to include:

  • Maintaining the security of the school and premises
  • Organising and assisting in the cleaning of the premises
  • Routine maintenance and repairs not requiring a contractor
  • Regular inspection and record keeping
  • Organising and movement of furniture and deliveries throughout the building
  • Designated key holder providing access and attend emergency call outs out of hours.

We are looking for:

  • Proven knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and requirements
  • The ability to carry out general repairs and maintenance over the Trust sites
  • Experience of general/grounds maintenance, electrical/building maintenance or heating systems would be advantageous
  • A sound understanding of cleaning methods and standards
  • The ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues
  • Be able to work under their own initiative, working in collaboration with the Chief Finance Officer and Site Manager.
