Salary: Grade 7, £23,866 - £28,221 per annum.
37 hours per week

Your role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our successful and ambitious team. You will develop and implement coordinated and integrated approaches for the provision of Education Business Intelligence, performance management and data quality. You will work across all Key Stages from nursery data, EYFSP, Phonics, Key stage 1, 2, 4 and 5. You will be responsible for the production and dissemination of analytical and research products, analysis and interpretation of school, early years and virtual school data.
About you:
You will have extensive experience of analysing, interpreting and reporting on diverse management information and have evidence of using a variety of software packages to analyse and produce a wide range of management information reports. To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to liaise effectively with individuals from all levels of our organisation and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will have significant experience of identifying and recognising problems and suggesting or implementing solutions leading to service improvements. You will have significant experience of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines, whilst maintaining a positive and professional outlook.

The Education Business Intelligence Unit (EBIU) is a highly regarded team with schools and colleagues across Wigan Council. The team delivers three main service level agreements for our customers, support for School Management Information Systems (MIS), Education Performance Analysis products, and a free school meal eligibility checking service, as well as being responsible for statutory data collection duties for the council. The development and delivery of Wigan’s educational data is fundamental in identifying areas of strength and supporting school improvement across Wigan.
