Salary: Grade 3, £18,562 - £19,312 per annum. £9.62 - £10.00 per hour

Your role:
As a BeWell Recreation Assistant, you will work within the various leisure facilities across the Borough you will support, enhance, and deliver the day-to-day operations and services of our Be Well facilities. Working as part of a team, you will be required to undertake a range of operational duties such as assisting with the opening and closing of the facility, undertaking routine maintenance of equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the environment. You will support programmed activities and take on duties of a Lifeguard / First Aider. Holding a swimming teacher qualification is also advantageous.
About you:
Using your experience in a leisure or similar environment, you will work as part of a team to provide a welcoming and safe environment for all Leisure Centre users. You will ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to and customer service is at the forefront of everything you do. You will be flexible, adaptable and must be able to react quickly to emergency situations.
To be a lifeguard you will be required to hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification that we will fund providing you are able to pass a basic swim test as part of the interview process. Further to this we will provide additional training to work in other areas of the centre.
These are highly visible roles, so excellent interpersonal skills and confidence are pre-requisites for the posts. Applicants must be able to work daytime, evenings, and weekends.
