Position 1:
Salary: Grade 4, £19,312 - £20,493 per annum. £10.00 - £10.62 per hour
37 hours per week

Position 2:
Salary: Grade 4, £9,656 - £10,247 per annum. £10.00 - £10.62 per hour 
18 hours 30 minutes per week

Temporary for 12 months

Your role:


We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Assistants to join our fantastic friendly team.

Supporting operational colleagues working with children, young people, and families across the borough you will work within teams such as the Independent Reviewing Officers and Fostering Service to deliver a high quality and effective service, providing minute taking for statutory meetings and panels. You will provide day to day administrative support to assist with the achievement of the team’s functions through delivering a high standard of customer care to service users, colleagues, and other professionals. You will embody the BeWigan values and behaviours, working with colleagues across the Council and its wider partners, to achieve best outcomes and deliver against The Deal principles.

About you:

The successful candidates will:

Have experience in panel preparation, compiling agendas and paperwork.
Be experienced in arranging panels\meetings, booking rooms, sending invites to, and liaising with professional.
Be experienced in attending panels and meetings, taking detailed minutes to a good standard as may be used as evidence in court proceedings.
Have excellent ICT skills with the ability to input and extract information from an electronic system (liquid logic)
Be able to handle highly sensitive information in line with confidentiality and data protection and ensuring the records are accurate.
Have the skills to take accurate messages
Have excellent organisational, communication and inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
