Please note, you will be based at various locations throughout the borough.

Salary: Grade 1, £5,759 per annum. £9.00 per hour for travel time to the school and Grade 4, £6,234 - £6,615 per annum. £9.74 - £10.34 per hour for support time

15 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year + 18 hours staff engagement and training

Your role:


To support Children and Young adults with autism / learning disabilities to travel to and from day provision across the Borough of Wigan. You will provide assistance to support passengers to get on and off their mode of transport and throughout their journey to and from their daytime activities.

About you:

You will provide an efficient and professional service to Children with learning disabilities by assisting them whilst on the vehicle to ensure they have a safe and pleasant journey to and from their daytime activities. You will have responsibility for their safety, wellbeing and comfort during their journey. The role can be challenging at times but is very rewarding.
