Your role:

 
Leading a team of five, this essential role will drive forward a strategic programme of staff engagement initiatives and internal communications campaigns. We are looking for someone with enormous drive and the ability to lead high impact interventions that support staff to be informed and engaged at work.

 

You will lead the internal communications service and support a diverse range of projects from the overhaul of the employee induction and on boarding process, to the rollout of a fresh, new approach to providing opportunities for staff to have their say. You will also be providing expert advice to colleagues across the organisation including senior leaders, whilst also working closely with partner organisations and external communications.
 
You’ll be part of an award winning team that is determined to make a difference to staff communications and develop creative engagement initiatives and campaigns across the council.
 
About you:

You will have a proven track record in internal communications and engagement as well as strong project management skills. You’ll think creatively and break down and translate complex messages into simple ground breaking solutions and innovative campaigns and interventions.  

You will have a strong understanding of staff engagement and the ability to develop and shape creative and innovative communication plans and measure their effectiveness. You'll also have strong professional influencing skills and the ability to lead and motivate individuals to deliver key objectives.
