Cook in Charge
Catering

Position 1: West of the Borough, covering Standish High, Shevington High, St Peter’s Orrell, St John Fisher and Deanery.

Position 2: East of the Borough, covering Fred Longworth, Lowton High, Cansfield High, Bedford High, and Rosebridge High.
 

Salary: Grade 5, £10,919 - £12,524 per annum. £9.92 - £11.38 per hour

 

The salary is subject to the 2019 National Joint Council pay award and any local agreements

 

25 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks and 6 days per year, plus 14 hours

 

Your role:

 

You will travel to various schools sites across the borough to provide catering cover in the absence of the resident Cook in Charge.  You will supervise the catering staff and catering operations and manage the kitchen and its resources to ensure a quality service is provided for the complete running of the catering services for the school. 

 

About you:

 

You will be passionate about the role and dedicated to providing the best service possible to staff, children and visitors to the school. You will have great customer care skills in order to deal with a range of people and will promote a professional image at all times, which is representative of the school and the service.  You will be an advocate for the development and promotion of the service and will relish the opportunity to work with managers to maximise profitability wherever possible.
