Salary: Grade 4, £9,580 - £10,658 per annum.  £9.19 - £10.22 per hour

 

20 hours per week, working full year

The Governors of Ince CE Primary School wish to appoint an Assistant Site Manager to join our new facilities team to start as soon as possible.

 

Ince CE Primary School is a large two form entry primary school on the outskirts of Wigan town centre.  Our school is at the heart of the community and the church, and all staff and governors are fully committed to ensuring the best education for every child.  The successful candidate would join a team which believes that all children should enjoy school and have a love of learning within a safe and secure environment.

 

The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Manager and School Business Manager to ensure the smooth running of the school and help oversee all aspects of site management.  This includes ensuring all duties are carried out to the highest of standards, paying particular regard to the relevant Health and Safety regulations, policies, procedures, and legal responsibilities.

 

We are looking to appoint a hard-working, honest, dependable and self-motivated person who can demonstrate:
  • A firm commitment to the ethos, aims and values of our school
  • A flexible approach to their work and ability to work independently
  • Experience of maintaining buildings to the required standards
  • General maintenance and caretaking skills
  • A good range of DIY skills e.g. decorating, plumbing
  • Experience of liaising with external contractors
  • Working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations, policies, procedures and codes of practice
  • Good record keeping skills
  • A good standard of written English.
