Salary: Grade 4, £6,034 - £6,713 per annum. £9.19 - £10.22 per hour

 

The salary is subject to the 2019 National Joint Council pay award and any local agreements

 

15 hours per week, term time plus 1 week working 39 weeks per year

 

The contracted hours are 15 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday from 3.15pm until 6.15pm. Flexible working arrangements will be considered.

Atherton Sacred Heart is a Voluntary Aided Catholic Primary school within the Archdiocese of Liverpool, serving the Parish of St Margaret Clitherow. The majority of pupils live in the Atherton and Tyldesley area, within the Borough of Wigan. As a smaller than average Primary school, Sacred Heart is like 'a family with 181 children currently on roll.

 

We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Lead Practitioner to join us on our new and exciting adventure of running an after school club. The Deputy Lead Practitioner will be able to support in the development of high quality after school club provision for children at our school. The successful candidate will be required to hold a Level 2 qualification in childcare or equivalent (e.g. teaching assistant qualification).

 

You will be highly motivated and be able to work under the direction of the Lead Practitioner and using your own initiative. You will have a good knowledge of policies and procedures to ensure children are safe at all times.

 

Duties to include:

To provide care and supervision of children at all times, responding to their individual needs.

To manage the setting in the absence of the Lead Practitioner.

To plan, manage and prepare resources to support children’s intellectual, physical, social, language and development.

To maintain good order and keep children safe.

To work in partnership with parents/carers, school staff and other professionals

To be the appointed first aider.
