Salary: Grade 9,  £31,401 - £36,153 per annum

The salary is subject to the 2019 National Joint Council pay award and any local agreements 

37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Social Workers to join the Social Care Team in Adult Services. Applications are welcomed from both newly qualified, Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and experienced Social Workers.

 

Your role:

 

You will ensure the delivery of a high quality and effective social work service to adults of all service user groups aged 18 and above to facilitate, empower and promote independence, strengths and assets of both individuals and local communities. 

 

You will work alongside a range of health colleagues and partners to provide an integrated approach to service delivery.  Your role will be within a generic social work team working will all age vulnerable adults within a variety of user groups, as well as safeguarding work. Working within organisational policy and procedures you will be employed in a statutory position with adherence to adult social care legislation.

 

You will work with individuals supporting them to utilise their existing skills, knowledge and relationships and enabling them to build on their strengths so that they can achieve positive outcomes. You will manage a complex and varied caseload and will chair various meetings as required.

You will be an enthusiastic and committed practitioner, capable of building professional relationships with adult service users, carers and families. You will be an excellent communicator who understands the value and importance of integrated working with partner agencies and the community. 

 

You will be efficient in time management, report writing and completing assessments and a strong team player who is used to working in a person centred way. You will have a holistic approach to work with a keen focus on reducing inequalities and supporting individuals, carers and families to develop resilience and improve outcomes. You will have a positive outlook with a caring and compassionate nature, be a good listener and a great problem solver.
