Salary: Apprenticeship Wage: £15,839 per annum, £8.21 per hour

37 hours per week

Temporary for 18 months

Your role:

You will be expected to provide a full and comprehensive administrative support service to the Health Protection and Civil Contingencies Team.  This will involve dealing with internal and external customers both face to face and on the telephone, operating ICT systems and providing general support to the team.

 

You will learn about health protection, infection prevention and control; and emergency planning; how the team coordinates the response to incidents of communicable disease outbreaks and civil contingencies in partnership with ‘blue light’ services, heath and other partners. 

 

You will also be required to spend a proportion of your time undertaking the Business Administrator Level 3 Standard qualification and will gain a range of experience whilst learning from professionals within the organisation.


About you:

You’ll need to have GCSEs A-C in Maths and English and ideally have some experience of using the Microsoft Office Suite and be able to learn how to use different types of software that the team use. You must not be qualified to Business Administrator Level 3 Standard or above.

 

We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team; as well as on their own – capable of managing their own time and with guidance/assistance priorities their work. 

You must be able to accurately note phone calls and meetings, have a good telephone manner, be able to communicate important information to others and a realisation of when you need to seek help – this is critical to working in the team.
