Salary: Grade 4 - £8,411 - £9,504 per annum. £8.72 - £9.85 per hour

 

18 hours and 30 minutes per week

 

Temporary to cover Maternity leave

 

Your role:

 

You will provide advice and assistance to vulnerable applicants and tenants in relation to their housing situation. 

 

You will effectively allocate and re-let empty public sector homes ensuring that suitable residents are identified and tenancies commence at the earliest opportunity, in accordance with the relevant company policies, including Local Lettings Policies.

You will be highly motivated with a passion for providing a quality service and you will give your best every day.

 

You will work on your own initiative, be a problem solver and a confident decision maker. 

 

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to explore with applicants their exact requirements, ensuring appropriate advice is provided. You will be a great communicator with people at all levels and will deal with situations in a professional manner, handling confidential and sensitive information tactfully.

 

About us:

 

The Allocations team are responsible for the efficient re-letting of the Wigan Councils 22.5k public sector homes, in line with the Allocations Policy.

 

The team help to maximise choice for applicants and tenants applying for housing. We do this by offering a proactive, performance driven lettings service for the company.
