Grade 3 - £8.09 - £8.90 per hour

 

30 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year

 

Temporary until 31 August 2018

 

Required for January 2018

 

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to provide support on a one to one basis and with small groups within Key Stage 1.

 

The successful candidate must be willing to build constructive, supportive relationships with pupils, teachers and carers.

 

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.45am – 3.15pm, with 30 minutes for lunch.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Want to make a difference to children’s lives

  • Support and cater for the needs of each individual child

  • Have an understanding of the needs of children

  • Be aware of behaviour strategies and be confident in implementing them

  • Follow Individual Education / Behaviour plans

  • Provide support for the class teacher and children

  • Work closely with staff, parents and outside agencies

Essential Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Basic literacy and numeracy qualifications

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of working with or caring for children
  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
  • Experience of supporting pupils with special needs

It would be a distinct advantage for applicants to have previous experience working with children or individuals with autism or challenging behaviour.
