Your role:

 

You will be responsible for the efficient and effective provision of a first class marketing service to achieve the council’s corporate objectives.

 

You will have account management responsibility for a number of key services and will work closely with senior officers in those teams to develop co-ordinated and innovative marketing campaigns.

 

You will manage and enhance the council’s reputation on a local, regional and national basis by publicising how we are transforming our services, improving access for residents and businesses and delivering efficiencies through well planned and cost effective campaigns.

 

You will be responsible for the development of communication channels and new ways of sharing information. 

 

About you:

 

You will develop and deliver integrated campaigns to achieve corporate priorities and will be used to working in using digital technologies and social media. 

 

You will be a great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills in order to provide advice to senior managers and fostering positive working relationships. 

 

You will have plenty of creative energy, show initiative, and will thrive from working in a fast paced and sometimes pressured environment.

The Public Relations team has a crucial role in the delivery of the council’s ambitious growth and reform plans over the next four years.

Our campaign and communications activity reflect the strategic priorities of the council and are focussed on the areas where the biggest positive impact can be made for residents and businesses.
