Salary: Grade 5 £16,319 - £18,378 per annum. £10.34 - £11.64 per hour

 

37 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year plus 3 days

 

This is an exciting opportunity for two colleagues to join our expanding team.  The Headteacher and Governing Body of Bedford High School seek to appoint a team of effective and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA).

 

As a team you will support in removing the barriers to learning of vulnerable students to ensure they make relevant progress.  We are looking for previous experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age and experience of working with students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.  You will need to be able to remain calm and positive in challenging circumstances and be able to relate well to students and adults; working with the wider school community.  Previous experience of working as a HLTA would be desirable.  A full driving licence is required for the post.  Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for the full requirements of the role.
