Waking Night Support Worker

Please note, you will be based across various locations throughout the borough such as Highfield and Atherton area Bungalows and Cranleigh

 

Salary: Grade 4, £11,176 - £12,433 per annum. £9.19 - £10.22 per hour

 

The salary is subject to the 2019 National Joint Council pay award and any local agreements

 

23 hours 20 minutes per week

 

Your role:

 

As a Waking Night Support Worker you will be part of a team supporting customers within their own homes during unsociable hours, offering support with everyday life skills and activities. Our customers have varying levels of abilities and you will be required to deliver a high standard of care and provide support in accordance with individual support plans.

 

You will offer support to encourage individual’s to realise their goals and aspirations and you will also assist in developing strong links within the community. You will work as part of a team to ensure life opportunities are explored which will maximise individual’s potential whilst fulfilling their dreams.

 

About you:

 

You will hold a Level 2 qualification in Care / Care Certificate or equivalent, or have an equivalent level of experience and be committed to undertake training that would be relevant to the role. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with other professionals, agencies and families developing the trust and cooperation in providing high quality care.

 

You must have the ability to support individuals with a learning disability, with an enthusiasm and commitment to offering value based support which is focused on the qualities that each person has.

Supported Living Services form part of our People Directorate under Adult social Care. Our workforce provides support to adults with various types of learning disabilities in the Wigan and Leigh area in various models/types of accommodation.
