Please note this position will be based at various Early Intervention bases
Grade 5 - £12,936 - £14,839 per annum. £9.92 - £11.38 per hour
The salary is subject to the 2019 National Joint Council pay award and any local agreements

Your role:
As a Reablement Support Worker you will support people to live as independently as possible through encouragement, specific techniques and the use of aids and adaptations.
You will be part of a team providing physical and emotional support with tasks such as moving and handling, personal care, meal preparation, support with medication and mobility practice. You will also encourage people to engage with their communities and promote their health and well-being.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will be patient, confident and have the ability to encourage people to engage. You will have basic IT skills with the willingness to improve these to meet the needs of the service. You will also be passionate about making a real difference to people’s lives.
You will possess or have a commitment to complete a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care/QCF value within an 18 month timeframe and the Trusted Assessor Award. You will also have a commitment to equality and diversity and respect for the rights of service users to privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
About us:
Wigan Reablement Team has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Care Quality Commission. Reablement is a service to help people make a swift transition from a state of dependency to independence. The service can be provided for up to six weeks and is available 365 days a year. The team will support people who have just left hospital or following significant changes in a person’s ability to live at home.
We aim to promote independence by using a person centred approach, enabling and supporting people to regain the confidence, ability and necessary skills to live at home. We are committed to motivating people where their ability to improve is possible, enabling them to remain independent with the use of adaptations or assistive technology.
