Deputy Manager of Pre School  
Hours 37 hours per week term time only plus 2 weeks working 40 weeks per year
Salary £16,848.35  £10.14 per hour 
Required as soon as possible

An opportunity has arisen for a deputy manager to work at this Ofsted rated “Outstanding” setting.  
 
St Marie’s is a well-established outstanding setting which specialises in early education for children from 3 years of age. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, calm happy and stimulating environment and we support our children as they grow and develop helping them to become independent and confident learners.  
 
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Deputy Manager to complement the work of the experienced manager.  

You will need to:       
  • Have a sound understanding of child development, and of children's needs.
  • Have the ability to understand, plan and implement a preschool curriculum, taking into account the SEN Code of Practice, child protection procedures and equal opportunities considerations.
  • Be co-responsible for ensuring the safety, safeguarding and well-being of the children and staff,
  • Step up to lead the setting in the absence of the manager
  • Have an excellent knowledge of EYFS curriculum
  • Understand and be able to implement Health and Safety legislation
  • Understand safeguarding procedures and take on deputy Safeguarding Lead role
  • Have a flexible approach to working
  • Ability to effectively market the nursery to maximize occupancy levels and fee income.
