The salary is subject to the 2019 National Joint Council pay award and any local agreements

 

37 hours per week

 

Your role:

 

As a Group Finance Manager you will manage and lead our Schools Finance Team. The service provides a full range of financial services to our schools as well as operating a Peripatetic Bursar Service. You will be expected to manage staff, setting clear objectives and targets to achieve measurable outcomes.

 

You will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services through the allocation of duties and supervision of colleagues. You will promote our finance function and contribute to continuous improvement of the service in response to changing requirements, legislative changes, corporate governance and risk management issues and accounting developments.

 

About you:

 

You will have a professional CCAB accountancy qualification or be able to demonstrate at the highest level skills gained through substantial relevant experience. You will have a proven track record in a pressured and deadline driven environment and be able to represent the service and the council at a local and regional level as necessary. 

 

You will be an enthusiastic, highly motivated and professional individual with experience of providing financial advice to assist and guide schools when making decisions. You will have significant management experience and a proven track record of shaping service development. You will have a passion for finance with excellent communication skills to ensure collaboration with a wide range of partners.
