Your role:
We are looking to recruit a Reablement Manager to join our team to assist people to live as independently as possible through our Reablement service.
As a Reablement Manager you will part of a team providing Reablement services across the borough. The role is aimed at promoting independence and helping to restore/maintain the service user’s ability to remain within the in their own homes. You will be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills and the value of promoting independence. You must be prepared to work flexibly to include weekend/ evening work/bank holidays and you will also be required to hold a current valid driving licence or demonstrate the ability to travel as required using own or public transport in the most effective manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the daily service provision, the supervision, development and performance of a skilled team of support workers, ensuring that all external and internal quality standards are achieved, and the service meets all performance indicators.
We will be looking for you to possess an NVQ Level 3/QCF credit value in care and to possess or be willing to obtain the Trusted Assessor Award. We will also be looking for a commitment to Equality and Diversity and respect for the rights of service users to privacy, dignity and confidentiality. The posts will require enhanced DBS.

About us:
The Wigan Reablement Team has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Care Quality Commission on two separate inspections. Reablement is a service to help people make a swift transition from a state of dependency to independence. The service can be provided for up to six weeks and is available 365 days a year. The team will support people who have just left hospital or following significant changes in a person’s ability to cope at home. The team forms part of the Early Intervention Service, which is a multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Primary Assessors, Sensory officers and Reablement staff.

The service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year
