An exciting Apprenticeship opportunity has arisen at our Award winning Wigan Council Music Service which forms part of the Greater Manchester Music Hub.

Your role:

As part of your Apprenticeship you will be expected to provide a full and comprehensive administrative support service to a range of internal and external customers both face to face and on the telephone, operate ICT systems and provide general support to the team.

You will assist with the more practical aspects of the service which includes the setting up of large ensembles, PA systems and modular stages when required as well as the loading and unloading of specialist musical equipment under the supervision of professional teaching staff.

This will involve working closely with music educators, freelance tutors, schools, parents and other stakeholders.

About you:

You will be an all-rounder when it comes to proving support to colleagues, free-lance staff as well as our internal and external customers.

You will be enthusiastic and committed to providing excellent customer care and be keen to develop a wide range of skills required to work in a busy office environment.

The ability to work flexibly, manage own time and meet deadlines are key requirements of this post.

Although not essential, a working knowledge of musical instruments and other music specific details would be beneficial.

We would expect the successful candidate to complete a relevant apprenticeship qualification.
