Required as soon as possible

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated, highly motivated and professional Chief Finance Officer to join our Multi-Academy Trust as soon as possible. The Wings’ CE Trust is a caring, forward thinking school that has a very supportive Leaders team who all have the highest expectations for themselves, their colleagues and their pupils.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and we are looking for someone who will drive best practice through a range of areas and take overall responsibility for the strategic financial, corporate and commercial leadership of the trust.

As a relatively new trust with sound financial systems already in place, we are looking to appoint a Chief Finance Officer to join our growing Multi-Academy Trust during a particularly exciting time. The Wings’ CE Trust converted to become a MAT in April 2017. Previously, the two schools had been federated and so common systems for back office operations have evolved during the last two and a half years, but we are now looking for someone who has the vision, values, leadership experience and skills to further improve our effectiveness.  We potentially have another school joining the trust within the next six months and the expectation is that the trust will continue to grow in size over time.

We are a Christian organisation whose core purpose is always on providing the best and widest possible education for the children in our care.  Everything we do within our Trust is directed towards this aim.  The successful candidate must fully embrace this philosophy and work ethically, openly and empathetically with all who are associated with our schools.

Our schools are situated within the borough of Wigan:
