Salary: £9.30 per hour pending pay award and job evaluation exercise
22 hours per week
Your role:
This role involves delivering school sport, PE and wellbeing activities to children and young people within schools, leisure centres and community settings. Within this role you will be required to work across all ages of children, their families and have the ability to adapt for specific needs. You will be required to deliver in partnership with school staff and follow agreed curriculum and lesson planning. The hours are in accordance with the needs and demands of the service, regular evening and weekend work are part of the requirements of the post. A full driving license and use of a vehicle is essential, or the ability to travel to various locations across the borough.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering quality services for children and young people. They will have experience of working with children, families and schools to improve participation and wellbeing. They will be able to plan, deliver and lead coaching sessions in a variety of settings meeting the needs of the individual. They will have demonstratable experience and knowledge of delivering activities specifically for children and young people and able to effectively communicate including being competent at using IT platforms and apps. They will be able to motivate themselves and work on their own and as part of a team.
