Salary: Grade 8: £28,785 - £32,878 per annum

Temporary to cover maternity leave

Your role

As a Quality Performance Officer you will support the local adult social care market to raise standards across the borough ensuring a choice of high quality services that are each kind, compassionate and hold person centred care and user experience at the forefront of service delivery.

In line with the Care Act 2014 and The Care Quality Commissions regulatory framework you will support both the development and implementation of a local approach to comprehensive quality assurance informed by people in receipt of services and their experiences.

You will work directly with partner organisations who deliver care and support and with people in receipt of services and their respective families.

You will be a passionate and energetic leader who shares our commitment, working in collaboration with a range of partners to support Wigan residents to live happy, healthy lives. You will have the commitment and drive to ensure the ongoing improvement and transformation of the external market.

You will be a great communicator and will be used to developing effective relationships with external providers, partners and customers.

About us:

Wigan Council has been voted ‘Council of the Year’ at the 2019 LGC Awards and has recently published The Deal 2030, our ambitious plan for our borough.  We are signed up to the Greater Manchester Continuous Service Commitment ensuring that your service will be continuous or 'unbroken' between the supporting organisations.

We are a small team within the wider Provider Management and Market Development service, committed to the co-design and delivery of excellent services for Wigan customers. We are proud of our ability to drive innovation and lead ambitious service redesign programmes.

We are passionate about representing the voice of customers and local people in all of our work and work hard to develop mature, collaborative relationships with providers to achieve the best lives for Wigan residents.

We offer an environment which welcomes people with drive, enthusiasm and a proactive approach to doing the ‘right thing’, ensuring that people are supported through services which are genuinely enabling people to fulfil their potential and live happy lives.
