Shared Lives Service

Would you like to work with vulnerable adults who need support and friendship?

Would you like a rewarding career that you can fit around your life?

Could you share your time, your home, your family, your friends and your community with a vulnerable adult who needs support?

Would you like to be a Wigan Council Shared Lives Champion?

We are recruiting now!

A Shared Lives Champion works with people who need support due to disability age or illness.  This will involve working in the community, in the service users’ home and in the Champion’s own home.

You will receive payments that cover some of your time and expenses, free training and have access to a dedicated support team.

Our Champions come from many backgrounds and no formal qualifications are required.

We are looking for good people who want to do great things and make a difference to the lives of local people.

If you are enthusiastic, patient, helpful and want to make a difference then call Wigan Council Shared Lives Service on 01942 487044 and talk to a friendly member of our team about how you can become a Shared Lives Champion.  Alternatively e-mail us at sharedlives@wigan.gov.uk

If you care enough to share enough contact us now.
