School Leadership Teaching

Lowton Junior & Infant School
Newton Road
Warrington
WA3 2AW

Salary: L14 – L20

Full Time Teaching Hours

Required for September 2021

Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2017.

Owing to the retirement of the current Headteacher, the Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspirational and forward thinking Headteacher to take this successful school to the next stage of its development.

Lowton Junior and Infant School is a 4 -11 primary school situated in a semi-rural location in Wigan. It prides itself on being a happy and vibrant non-denominational Trust school, highly regarded throughout Lowton and the surrounding area.

This is a great opportunity for the right person with a passion for developing each and every child to lead this oversubscribed primary school into the future and build on its mission:

“To inspire and empower all children to succeed through a love of learning within a nurturing environment”.

As the most important element of our school, when asked, our children would like you to be encouraging, a good listener, caring and respectful. They would also like you to deliver treats to class on a tray and build a swimming pool in the playground so fun features quite highly in their list of qualities!

We can offer you:
an excellent opportunity to develop yourself supported by a strong team of dedicated staff, committed Governors and engaged parents
happy, enthusiastic, motivated and friendly children who are keen to learn and are proud of their school
an exceptional team of staff who believe that every child is helping each other prepare for the next step in their journey
a well-rounded/established school in an environment with a supportive community

Are you:
Highly ambitious for every child, whatever their background and abilities
Able to embed a child-led, challenging and inclusive curriculum so every child can excel
Able to champion the wellbeing and happiness of every child
Able to inspire, motivate and empower staff to deliver the highest quality education

Do you have knowledge and experience of what excellent education looks like in order to embed a sustainable culture with high expectations from all staff and children?

No one person has a greater influence on a school’s character than the Head. What you will read on our website, and see when you visit, will be a snapshot of Lowton Junior and Infant School as it is today – what it will be tomorrow could be up to you!

Application forms are returnable to Michelle.Foster@wigan.gov.uk or to Michelle Foster, Clerk to Governors, Governor Services, 2nd Floor, Life Centre South, College Avenue, Wigan WN1 1NZ.
