Salary: Grade 10, £36,876 - £40,760 per annum

 

37 hours per week
This post is subject to a 6 month probation period

 

Your role: 

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of transforming services for children with disabilities who are in care or on the edge of care. You will lead the team to ensure the delivery of outstanding respite and outreach services to children young people in the Borough.

 

You will be responsible for a team which will provide a range of creative support and placement offers that will promote family based care and support our ambition for all children to be cared for within the Wigan community. 

About you: 

You will be a committed, passionate individual with a proven track record of improving outcomes for the most vulnerable and complex children and families. You will have a detailed knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Safeguarding Frameworks combined with an understanding of national best practice and leading innovation programmes that enables you to continually improve practice.

 

You should have experience and the ability to lead and motivate your team, have a solution focussed positive attitude and hold an appropriate professional based qualification.
