Working hours: 8.30am – 3.00pm with a 40 minute lunch break

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, confident Cover Supervisor to join our friendly and committed team.  This position would ideally suit someone who has the ability to inspire and motivate children whilst being pro-active, calm and cheerful. It is important for our school that you want to contribute to the growth and development of every child and to meet their individual needs.  
   
The successful candidate will:   
  • Supervise pre-prepared activities in the short term/unplanned absence of the teacher and communicate feedback to the teacher upon their return.
  • Manage the behaviour of students whilst they are undertaking work with them, according to individual needs.
  • Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
  • Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including before and after school, lunch and break times, as may be reasonably directed.
  • Accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities and take responsibility for a group under the supervision of the teacher as may be reasonably directed.
  • Undertake exam/test invigilation.
  • Undertake first aid duties as required.
  • Support in other areas when not required for cover duty.
