Salary: Grade 3 £3,729 - £3,996 per annum. £8.74 - £9.36 per hour
The salary is subject to the 2019 National Joint Council pay award and any local agreements

10 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team within the Road Safety and School Crossing Patrol Service.
Your role:
You will see children safely across the road on their way to and from school and enable the safe passage of all pedestrians at designated places and times. You will also provide emergency school crossing patrol cover at other crossing points within the Wigan Council area as required by the needs of the service.

You will be a good communicator who is enthusiastic about building and maintaining positive relationships with children and young people, their families, carers and schools.

The focus of the Road Safety Team is to reduce and minimise the number of road traffic casualties across the borough through a targeted programme of education, training and publicity campaigns.
The School Crossing Service forms a key part of our Road Safety Strategy as the safety of our children is something we take very seriously and we are committed to providing a first class service. You will get the opportunity to achieve this by dealing with our customers directly, helping make a difference in their lives.
