Salary: Grade 12, £44,632 - £48,104 per annum.

Your role:


You will play a central role in the delivery of the council’s key transformation plans for Wigan Town Centre. The redevelopment will place the town centre on a more sustainable footing through the diversification of its offer and enhanced opportunities for living, working, culture and leisure. You will manage and coordinate delivery of these transformational and high-profile programmes and take responsibility for all elements of the programme management cycle and the creation of robust and effective governance arrangements. You will be responsible for ensuring milestones are met, risk is well-managed, deliverables are achieved, and inter-dependencies are identified and exploited.

About you:

You will have proven success in high level programme management delivering change or transformation. You will have managed in a complex challenging, multi-agency environment and overcome resistance to deliver successful outcomes. You will have used complex business management tools to achieve successful outcomes on time and be used to advising and supporting colleagues at director level. You will have an interest in local government, outstanding decision-making skills and be able to come up with innovative solutions. You will display the BeWigan professional behaviours of being positive, accountable and courageous.
