Salary: Grade 5, £5,538 - £6,237 per annum.
10 hours per week

Salary: Grade 5, £6,646 - £7,485 per annum.
12 hours per week

Both positions temporary for 6 months from start date

Your role:

You will work within a caring and enthusiastic team providing short term breaks for children & young people with disabilities and complex health needs in order to provide respite to their parents or carers. You will support children and young people to enjoy a mix of planned leisure activities and encourage appropriate friendships within a group setting, both within a community base and in the wider community.

About you:

You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and you’ll be a great communicator, experienced in working with children and young people and will take pride in our work and relish the responsibilities it brings. You’ll be eager to make a difference to the lives of the children and young people we support and will be committed to ensuring they are included and championed with in the local community.

The Leisure for All team offers leisure time activities in the evenings, weekends and during school holidays to children and young people aged 5-19 years inclusive with disabilities and complex health needs.

The Leisure for All team has continued to offer valued support throughout the current pandemic and continues to offer short break leisure sessions from a Wigan Town Centre Venue throughout term time and school holidays. Leisure for All is running groups with carefully matched age and peer group bubbles and offering meaningful and enjoyable activities.
