Newbridge Learning Community is a 90 place Special School for 11-16 year old students who have an Educational Health Care Plan for Social, Emotional Mental Health. The school takes a holistic approach to learning utilising a varied range of approaches to enhance the learning and wellbeing of our young people.

 

Our central aim is to enable our pupils to feel valued and respected as individuals and to see them constructively involved in the life and work of the school. We therefore, look to appoint a successful applicant to enhance the existing staff team by delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment across both KS3 and KS4.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working in an SEN/SEMH school context and positively managing behaviour in the classroom and wider school.
  • Be highly motivated with the ability to drive up standards and lead others across the department
  • Have experience of working successfully with difficult to engage pupils in order to raise their attainment. This is essential
  • Build effective relationships with both staff and pupils and work proactively within the team.
