Salary: Grade 6 - £15,434 - £17,831 per annum. 

32 hours and 30 minutes per week, term time plus one week working 39 weeks per year

Meadowbank Primary school is a popular, thriving Community School which enjoys excellent partnerships with parents and the local community. 
 
The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide support initially in Lower Key Stage 2 and to cover classes throughout the school when necessary, according to the needs of the school. 
 
You will need to have a clear understanding of the new national curriculum and the expectations of children in each year group throughout the school.

We are looking for a person who works well in a team, has a nurturing approach, but can also work independently using their initiative. Experience of working in Key Stage 2 is preferable but not essential. 

The successful applicant will: 

  • Have high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour

  • Be committed to sharing best practice

  • Be flexible in their approach, open to new ideas and a team player

  • Be someone who has an approachable manner, both personally and professionally, and a good sense of humour

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues and pupils

  • Take an active part in all aspects of school life and be willing to go the extra mile

  • Place safeguarding at the heart of their teachings.
