Due to the promotion of the current deputy headteacher, the governors of Rowan Tree Primary School are seeking to appoint a new deputy headteacher to join a new senior leadership team. We are looking for an excellent leader who is a dynamic and inspirational; has passion, commitment and a strong sense of fun. Someone with experience of working as a senior leader in a special school who can build on the success of the current postholder.

Rowan Tree is a specialist primary school for pupils with severe and complex needs (2 – 11 years.) The school was graded outstanding by OFSTED in September 2017 and were awarded Advanced Autism Accredited status by the National Autistic Society during the spring term 2018. The whole school team are committed to continually building on these successes.

The successful candidate will:
Be committed to the highest standard of teaching and learning
Be a proven and effective leader in a special school
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Be an exemplary teacher and leader who makes a significant impact on children’s learning
Be resilient and enthusiastic when facing challenges
Be able to engage with pupils, enjoy playing and will make school life fun
