Salary: Grade 6, £18,777 - £21,145 per annum. 

36 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year
 
The Governors are looking to appoint a HLTA to improve pupil achievement and work in a collaborative team.  The successful candidate will work alongside the teachers to develop the learning of children across school.
 
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated HLTA who:
  • Believes all children deserve the best and sets high expectations to teaching, learning and behaviour.
  • Can contribute to raising the attainment of all children whilst supporting their emotional development.
  • Is patient and empathetic to the needs of pupils.
  • Has the ability to support colleagues and children and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Can effectively deliver the EYFS and National Curriculum across all year groups.
 
Main Purpose:
  • To liaise with the teacher in order to plan, prepare and deliver lesson for individual students, groups of whole class.
  • To be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and to supervise other teaching assistants.
  • To provide support for SEND pupils and/or behavioural, social or physical disabilities.
 
Job Outline:
  • To complement the professional work of teachers by supporting the learning and behaviour of specified pupils in class lessons.
  • To provide PPA for specified teachers through planning/preparing/delivering lessons to relevant classes.
  • To monitor, assess, record and report pupils achievement, progress and development.
  • To provide specialist support to students with barriers to learning on a one-to-one basis, in a small group or in/out of the classroom.
  • To develop and implements IEPs for pupils.
  • To adjust lessons and/or work plans as appropriate.
  • To provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on pupils achievements.
  • To deliver local and national learning strategies.
  • To plan and deliver before and after school learning activities within guidelines set by the school.
  • To support lunchtime supervision and provide specified extended school activities.
