Your role:  
  
You will be responsible for the efficient and effective provision of a first-class marketing service to achieve the council’s corporate objectives. You will have account management responsibility for a number of key services and will work closely with senior officers in those teams to develop co-ordinated and innovative marketing campaigns.  
  
You will manage and enhance the council’s reputation on a local, regional and national basis by publicising how we are transforming our services, improving access for residents and businesses and delivering efficiencies through well planned and cost-effective campaigns.  
  
About you:  
  
You will have proven marketing experience as you will develop and deliver integrated campaigns to achieve corporate priorities. You should also have knowledge and experience in using digital technologies and social media and proven experience in providing advice to senior managers and fostering positive working relationships.
  
You will have plenty of creative energy, show initiative, have excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure often to tight timescales. You will be responsible for the development of communication channels and new ways of sharing information in a timely and effective manner.

The PR team has a crucial role in the delivery of the council’s ambitious growth and reform plans over the next four years.
