You will be required to work flexibly at various locations across the borough

Salary: Grade 3, £18,562 - £19,312 per annum. £9.62 - £10.00 per hour

37 hours per week

Your role:


As a Park Keeper you will contribute to the provision of safe play environments across the borough and the general cleanliness of the borough’s parks and green spaces. You will carry out minor repairs to play equipment and will assist in general upkeep of parks and greenspaces, carrying out various duties.

You will provide exceptional customer service, be adept at dealing with a range of customers, and be the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Council when working in the borough. You will lead by example and motivate others to work to collective goals and actively seek ways to improve the service, suggesting new ways of working and embracing change.

About you:

You will have knowledge and experience and the ability to carry out play equipment inspection including mechanical moving parts. You will have a relevant Playground safety qualification and a full driving licence.

You will be able to work well both independently and as part of a team in a flexible manner in order to meet deadlines and service demands. It is also important that you have good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with both colleagues and members of the public. You must also be able to apply health and safety knowledge within the workplace and be well organised.
