Salary: Grade 7, £15,148 - £16,972 per annum.

 

2 x 18.5 hours per week

 

Your role:

 

As a keyworker, you will provide a key role in supporting the team to deliver outstanding support to children and young people accessing short term breaks. Central to the role is the ability to develop a trusting relationship with the children and their support network, in order for them to feel safe in the home. You will work on a rota basis to support the children and young people who access overnight stays at Ladies Lane. Part of this dynamic role will be providing personal care and physical and emotional support to our young people with complex needs, including physical disabilities, severe learning disabilities and autism.  You will support the team to operate a fun, safe and positive overnight provision for the children and young people.

About you:

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, fun individual who understands the needs of children and young people who have complex needs and learning difficulties.

You must have the ability to work as part of a team but use your own initiative when necessary.

 

To be flexible to the needs of the service and demonstrate an ability to follow care plans, risk assessments, behaviour support plans and health care plans. To be understanding and empathetic to children and young people who have complex needs and offer a wide range of activities and experiences to enrich their lives. To build good, effective relationships with both the children and their families.

Ladies Lane is a 4 bedded purpose-built registered children’s home based in Wigan.  We offer overnight stays which enables our children and young people to have time away from their families, make friendships with their peers and enjoy new experiences.
