Salary: Grade 7, £30,296 - £33,945 per annum.

 

37 hours per week

 

Your role:

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our internal residential service. We are looking for experienced residential staff that have experience of caring for children with complex needs.  You will be able to contribute and follow positive behaviour support plans, manage a variety of communication methods. You will be passionate about the delivery of outstanding support to children and young people between the ages of 11-17 years that have a diagnosis of LD. You will play a key role in ensuring our young person has fun, new experiences, safe care and and make good progress.

 

The team will need to have a strong understanding of children with complex needs, including sensory and communication.  Have a commitment to partnership working with social care, education and specialist health.

About you:

 

You will be passionate about caring for children, you will be resilient, enthusiastic and bring fun to the direct support to children. You will have a solution-focused, positive attitude and hold an appropriate qualification or be willing to complete this within 18 months. You will be committed to continuing professional development, learning and working as a team.

 

You will be flexible in your approach and will required to work evenings, weekends on a rota basis.

 

You must have experience working with children in a residential setting or supporting children with a diagnosed LD.
