Salary: Grade 12, £50,512 - £54,243 per annum.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Highway Operations Manager. As Operations Manager you will have the responsibility for ensuring that the Council’s highway operations services are delivered in accordance with statutory requirements and adhere to relevant Council service standards, policies and procedures. You will also ensure the effective service delivery and financial performance.

 

About you:

 

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams including internal staff and external contractors and be able to demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate and develop team members. You will also have extensive experience of operating in a highway’s operations environment, including policy and strategy development, project management and programme delivery.

 

As the Team Manager you will always embody the Team Wigan behaviours and will be passionate about providing excellent services. You will play a key role developing and implementing effective and meaningful service/business plans and achieving clear financial targets, quality standards and outcomes; and be willing to challenge existing ways of working to identify and implement transformational change, innovation, and continuous service improvement that delivers best value solutions and customer outcomes.
